Great river views from the room.
The room I stayed in had a terrible musty smell, which was extremely off-putting. I also encountered noise from people walking by, making it hard to relax. despite contacting the hotel prior about an upgrade, they were inflexible and insisted on charging me extra, which was frustrating.

I stayed at the Dolphin in St Ives recently and found it to be a mixed experience. The room was spacious and clean, with a lovely view over the meadow. The king-size bed felt comfortable, and I appreciated the daily maid service that kept everything tidy. the restaurant wasn't fully operational during my visit. It was disappointing to deal with staff shortages, affecting the overall dining experience. Breakfast also had its issues. we ordered it during check-in but found it was self-service when we arrived. the location near the town center was convenient for exploring, but the restaurant situation and limited staff definitely detracted from my stay.
